With any of the wood pieces containing epoxy resin, they are not meant to be used as cutting boards. You can cut up very simple items on them such as fruits and soft cheeses. All of my trays and boards are treated to be 100% food safe.
Care for the trays and boards is easy. Just wipe down with warm soap and water and let dry. If the wood starts to dry out just apply a light coat of mineral oil to it, let sit for about 15 mins and then wipe excess off. Do not use food based oils to recondition as they can get into the wood and become racid.
